Rural Business Hubs

Union Panchayati Raj Minister Dr. C.P.Joshi today informed the Lok Sabha that the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and KVIC have signed Memorandum of Co-operation (MoC) on 4th August, 2008 to work jointly towards the Rural Business Hubs in rural areas by converging the schemes of KVIC. Joint working arrangement will be operational for a period of three years from the date of signing of the MoC. A proposal to establish beekeeping units in Bharatpur district, Rajasthan, is being processed under the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) of the KVIC. No funds have been released yet.
